How Sun Shrimp® Are Cultured Sun Shrimp are cultured in our state of the art, completely
bio-secure facility located in Florida, USA. We only use Specific Pathogen Free shrimp stocks. The shrimp are reared in artisan water which is seeded with beneficial algae and bacteria. The shrimp are continuously cared for. When they reach maturity, they are harvested and immediately chill killed in an ice bath. Within minutes they are taken to our onsite packing plant. Here they are quickly washed, graded and packaged fresh on ice, ready for immediate shipment to you. Only Sun Shrimp are truly fresh and available every day of the year.
Our culturing methods and facilities are completely sustainable with no negative impact on the environment. All culture water is reused and recycled on-site. No chemicals or medicines are ever used, Sun Shrimp are healthy for you and will be there for future
