PRODUCT INFO

Icefish can be found in the sub-Arctic water zone in the Southern Ocean. Its meat is white, delicate and tasty. It can be eaten fresh or
used in preserves. It may be perceived as a fish delicacy.

With a head that looks a little like a crocodile, they are often called Crocodile Icefishes. One fun fact is that this fish doesn’t have
scales. The Icefish has antifreeze proteins that circulate through their bodies to keep them from freezing and their transparent
appearance while swimming in the water is truly a sight to be seen. They also eat krill and have a taste that is most similar to
Shrimp. The Antarctic Icefish is bottom dwelling and this species typically grows no larger than 30 inches in length.
