Hybrid Striped Bass is a cross between a male marine striped bass (Morone saxatilis) and a female freshwater white bass (Morone chrysops), resulting in a fish that combines the most desirable traits of both species. It offers a mild, fresh flavor with a medium texture, small flake, and moderate fat content—making it both flavorful and versatile.
The raw flesh appears opaque white to grey and turns bright white when cooked.
