To produce the best quality Chilean salmon available on the market, Blumar is a fully vertically integrated producer and one of only a few Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) 3 Star Certified producers in Chile. Like most Norwegian and Scottish Salmon, Blumar raises their fish in sanitary fresh water tanks which isolates them from environmental stress. Once strong enough, the salmon are raised in Blumar’s ocean pen farms which are carefully sited to ensure that fish are always growing in the healthiest environment.

Chile’s farming areas are divided into several geographic areas called neighborhoods. Blumar has sites in all major neighborhoods to ensure Blumar always has salmon ready to ship.

Blumars processing plants are recognized as being the most expert and the best equipped in the Chile. All Blumar Salmon processing operations are BRC Certified, Global Gap compliant, HACCP approved and Kosher inspected. Blumar’s main plant is located in Talcahuano, which is closer to Santiago’s air cargo hub than other
producers. This nearby location ensures
Blumar’s fish travels quicker and gets to
you fresher.
