No, the legendary Pat’s King of Steaks in South Philadelphia will not be substituting beef for fish in their incredible cheesesteaks, but last week they teamed up with someone who knows a thing or two about great seafood. Chef and sushi master Zama Tanaka of Zama and coZara was a celebrity chef at Pat’s Steaks, making a red miso marinated cheesesteak and French fries covered in Bonito flakes. The event was to support the PAWS foundation, a non-profit focused on finding a home for all of Philadelphia’s pets. We were able to catch up with Chef Zama for an exclusive interview at the event.
